Director John Fulljames gives his notes.
Oh, and they're still looking for more hardback books to add to the set, get in touch if you're having a clear-out.

Seven Angels
Labels: John Fulljames, opera, photography, Seven Angels, Tadsu Takamine, The Opera Group, work for clients
A few shots from the rehearsal set I did for The Opera Group the other day. Their production of Seven Angels, a new opera (the composer turns out to be a friend of a friend of a friend) loosely based on Paradise Lost. I was totally enamoured of the set by designer Tadasu Takamine, a cascade of books that the cast are required to climb around, over, and through. And even though I'm usually concentrating too hard on not accidentally tripping over my own feet to notice what the rehearsal shots I'm doing are actually for, I was captivated by the music and voices of the scene they were running through. Moving and sad, with elements of bitter wit, I'd catch this if you can while they're on tour (including a stop at Latitude!)
