Our family trip to Krakow was set as a celebration of Mummy Leedale's big 6-0 and ended up being a timely way for me to enjoy the return to real life too. We spent three days pottering around this lovely and elegant city in the warm sunshine. I've treated myself to a get-well present of an adorable little Olympus mirrorless number and couldn't be more pleased with it. After years of lugging a DSLR around on holiday this sweetie feels like it weighs precisely nothing and so far I'm very pleased with the quality of the photos it shoots.
I hadn't really clocked how big Catholicism is in Poland |
Holidaying with this bunch of schmoes was pretty fun. |
These dalmation horses were my favourite. |
I love holiday apartment decor. |
Wawel Castle is basically lifted straight out of a fairytale. |
No idea what this guy was doing chilling at a riverside festival. |
We found where the fruit and vegetables were hiding! In the small market square Plac Nowy. |
The Wielska salt mines were impressive - textures on the tunnel walls looked like lunar landscapes there were lots of salt sculptures scattered about. |
Amber is a big deal there; much is produced in Northern Poland. I just shopped with my eyes :) |
Thanks for showing us a good time, Poland!
